How Does Money Work

Cash is the lifeblood of Wardogs; almost every action that helps your team earns money, while buying weapons, equipment, vehicles, ammo, and other supplies drains it. You also need to make a large, one‑time payment to unlock new gear as you level up. The total cash you have is shown in the top‑right corner, and a second figure beside it indicates the profit or loss for the current match. Red arrows mean you’re losing money, green arrows show a profit. Ideally you’ll leave each spawn with a small profit, but that isn’t always possible. Dying without a teammate reviving you forces you to respawn with nothing and repurchase your entire loadout. Extra cash can be exchanged for gold bars, which buy weapon skins and character cosmetics.

How To Get Money Quickly

There are many ways to earn cash, but not all are equally effective. Killing enemies is the most rewarding yet skill‑dependent method. If you prefer lower‑risk options, consider these proven strategies:

  • Building defenses at the FOB: placing walls, doors, gates, sandbags, and emplacements nets steady income, especially when you work with teammates who also build.
  • Spotting targets with binoculars or monoculars: you earn a small amount for each spot, and a larger payout if the marked enemy is eliminated.
  • Transporting players or supplies: moving teammates from spawn to the battlefield or delivering goods to the FOB provides cash for each passenger and for the delivery itself.
  • Reviving teammates: healing downed allies with bandages or first‑aid kits grants a solid cash reward.

My favorite quick‑cash tactic is to start as the Support role. Buy a Forward Operating Base, hop into a transport helicopter, land at the drill site, place the FOB, grab the free hammer, and begin constructing defenses. Even though early options are limited, building walls, cover, and emplacements accumulates thousands of dollars as the FOB takes shape. Helping teammates finish their structures also adds to your earnings, so grab a hammer and start building if you’re new to the game.

Spotting is another efficient earner. Purchase a monocular, locate high‑traffic combat zones like the Hot Zone, and set up on elevated ground. Marking enemies yields cash per spot, and you earn extra when they die while under your view. Just stay hidden, because the limited sight range makes you vulnerable to fire.

The medic role is surprisingly lucrative. Whenever a downed teammate appears as a pulsing circle on the map, rushing in to revive them—and healing them with medical supplies—earns a nice payout. The more revives you perform, the more cash you collect.

Finally, mastering vehicle use can turn you into a rolling cash machine. Transporting players from base to the front lines, or delivering supplies via truck, car, or helicopter, rewards you per passenger and per kill they achieve. You can also profit by buying essential items like bandages or ammo, marking them up, and selling them back to teammates at the base—risky, but effective for funding your gear.
