Framework Expands Affordable Memory Options
Framework’s blog post titled “Navigating the Volatile Silicon Market: Updates on Memory and Storage Pricing” announces positive updates on LPCAMM2 memory availability and Intel Core Ultra X9 processor options for the Framework Laptop 13 Pro.
After a July price increase driven by supplier costs, the company secured a limited quantity of Micron LPCAMM2 32GB and 64GB memory modules at a lower cost, allowing it to pass savings to customers.

Price Reductions and Customer Benefits
Framework will automatically issue a refund for the price difference on orders that have already shipped, adjust the price for pending orders, and let customers modify the amount of RAM in their laptop to get more value.

Industry Context
This action follows similar pro‑consumer moves by Arctic, which pledged refunds after receiving refunds for illegal US tariffs, while Sony and Microsoft continue to resist giving back to consumers. With RAM shortages ongoing and major manufacturers appearing to secure high prices, these gestures are a significant benefit for buyers, and they may help keep gaming laptops affordable as RAM supply pressures increase.
