Xbox Teams Up with Ikea for a Retro Furniture Collection
Xbox and Ikea have announced a unique partnership that will see a line of furniture inspired by 25 years of Xbox products. The collaboration was revealed on Instagram, and attendees of Gamescom will be able to try the pieces in person next week. While the full range is still under wraps, the teaser shows at least three items that will be available once the collection launches.
Scaled‑Up Controllers Become Furniture
The most eye‑catching piece is a giant thumbstick that doubles as a stool, a playful nod to the iconic Xbox controller. A green d‑pad cushion and a black d‑pad version are also slated for release, adding a cozy, gaming‑themed touch to any room. More items may be revealed when the booth opens at Gamescom, giving fans a chance to test the furniture firsthand.
This isn’t the first unexpected brand partnership for Xbox. Earlier this week the company unveiled a McDonald’s collaboration that will offer menu items inspired by Xbox franchises and give players codes for in‑game content in titles such as Fallout 76 and Halo Campaign Evolved. The McDonald’s tie‑in shows how Xbox is expanding its reach beyond consoles, creating experiences that blend gaming culture with everyday brands.
