Alienware, Dell’s gaming sub‑brand celebrating its 30th birthday in October, has introduced two striking OLED monitors that use LG’s tandem OLED technology for brighter performance. The new models aim to bring high‑end features to more affordable price points, a promise highlighted by product manager Matt McGowan.
For esports fans, the AW2527HX is billed as Alienware’s fastest monitor ever, offering a 560 Hz refresh rate and a 0.03 ms response time. Some of the AW2527HX’s tournament-friendly features include a built-in headphone holder, plus a matte coating on the screen to minimize glare. On top of that, esports fans can expect a spectacularly bright display thanks to pentatandem OLED technology. The RGB Stripe sub-pixels will keep text sharp and also offer overall improved image clarity.
Meanwhile, the AW3226Q, a 32‑inch 4K OLED arriving this fall, is priced around $699 and offers 1000 nits of peak brightness with the same 0.03 ms response time and RGB stripe technology, though its 165 Hz refresh rate is lower than the esports‑focused model. While it lacks the tandem OLED advantage of the AW2527HX, its price is competitive compared to other budget OLEDs.
Alienware’s partnership with World of Warcraft champion Team Liquid underscores its focus on competitive gaming, and the company expects to capture a share of tournament sponsorships similar to Asus’s recent deal for the ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace, which will serve as the official monitor for the PGL CS2 Major Singapore 2026.
