GTA 6 Extended Look Updated on Bilibili With Heavy Censorship
Rockstar finally gave fans a proper preview of GTA 6 with the Extended Look, showing cutscenes, activities, combat and life in the fictional state of Leonida. The footage, released a week after a wave of leaked gameplay, is the most detailed look at the game to date.
You Can’t Even See Most of the People in the Nightclub Scene
Despite the excitement, the version of the trailer that appeared on Bilibili – China’s popular video platform – is heavily blurred. Posted on August 31, the censored cut replaces the original footage and follows Take‑Two’s DMCA takedown notices targeting unblurred copies shared elsewhere. The blur removes cigarettes, bloodied bodies, suggestive clothing and, most noticeably, the entire crowd behind Jason as he walks through a nightclub. While some moments look odd, the majority of the trailer remains largely intact, showing how much content was packed into the short preview.
The heavy editing raises questions about GTA 6’s potential release in China. Because Chinese platforms lack a formal age‑rating system, any version of the game that includes realistic depictions of violence, drugs or adult themes could be blocked. It is unclear whether Rockstar will issue a locally compliant cut or delay the launch in the region. For now, the censored Bilibili trailer stands as a curious oddity until more information is confirmed.
