Post‑Credits Scenes Expand Wolverine’s Story

The Marvel’s Wolverine game ends with two post‑credits scenes that set up a potential sequel. The first scene appears for every player and shows Sabretooth discovering a still‑functional Helix Engine, the device that activates dormant mutants throughout the game. He follows the voice of Apocalypse, which has been echoing in his mind since he used the engine himself.

Apocalypse, also known as En Sabah Nur, is a centuries‑old mutant and one of the X‑Men’s most powerful villains. He can alter his molecular structure, possesses superhuman strength and wields formidable psychic abilities. A key part of his mythos is the “Four Horsemen,” four individuals who embody Famine, Death, War and Pestilence. In the game’s timeline Sabretooth appears to be one of these Horsemen, though the identities of the other three remain unknown.

The second post‑credits scene is unlocked only after completing the game and earning at least a bronze rank on every Nightmare Door trial. It takes place 75 years before the main story, showing an older Logan walking through the farm where he and Jean once lived. Jean recounts how she and Logan met centuries ago, how she first expelled Death from his psyche, and how she has repeatedly died and been reborn like a phoenix, only to reunite with Logan each time. The flashback ends with the pair sharing a rare happy moment together in their cabin.

At the conclusion of the game Logan’s memories are wiped, leaving him to wander away from Jean and her friends in hopes of regaining his identity. If the game proves successful, Insomniac may continue the story in a sequel, exploring how Logan restores his past and what role the Four Horsemen will play in the next chapter.
