CD Projekt’s Upcoming Projects

CD Projekt is busy with several high‑profile projects, including The Witcher 4, Cyberpunk 2, a Witcher 3 expansion and remaster, a Witcher 1 remake, and two mysterious, codename‑named titles, Sirius and Hadar.

Despite their low profile and long development cycles, CD Projekt’s VP of Investor Relations Karolina Gnaś told investors during an H1 H1 investors call, that the projects are still on track, though not imminent.

When asked about Sirius, Gnaś said recent cuts to the development team, saying—as CD Projekt did when the layoffs happened—that the changes were made to meet “the current needs of the project.”.

Gnaś said pre-production is ongoing, with the team focused on testing various solutions and ideas, especially since the project is multiplayer‑oriented, requiring extensive learning and testing.

Sirius emerged in 2021 after CD Projekt bought The Molasses Flood, the studio behind The Flame in the Flood, to develop a new Witcher‑related title. The effort stalled a few years later, was paused and rebooted, and in 2025 CD Projekt ended its plan to keep The Molasses Flood operating as an independent studio.

Hadar is an entirely new IP, unrelated to The Witcher or Cyberpunk, aiming for an emotional open‑world experience. Though described as progressing dynamically, it has been in development since 2021 and remains in the concept phase, essentially unchanged from five years ago.

Gnaś said the team now numbers over 30 and expects to reach 50 developers by year‑end, with most members testing concepts and prototyping gameplay. He concluded with a tongue‑in‑cheek remark: “This is it.”

I’m not worried; I’m genuinely curious about Hadar, an original IP, while Sirius holds less appeal for me due to its multiplayer focus and the fact that a Witcher game without constant Geralt feels less compelling. Still, CD Projekt has plenty of other big projects, so its timeline for these side projects—perhaps extending to 2033—is fine by me.
