How to Anger Ambrus in The Blood of Dawnwalker

While the game lets you anger any court member in any order and explore Vale Sangora freely, the map is structured so that you will first encounter Ambrus’ loyalists. His activities are relatively easy to stumble upon, and many tasks appear as question marks until you engage with them, which raises his infamy meter.

What Ambrus Is Doing

Ambrus is one of the more popular court members, and his focus in Vale Sangora revolves around collecting leeches to keep blood fresh and draining prisoners for a stockpile of blood. To provoke him you must free prisoners, stop his men from collecting leeches, destroy barrels and disrupt transport routes. Once you have enough anger, a special quest tied to him becomes available, though you can also act without waiting for the quest.

Activities That Anger Ambrus

Ambrus’ anger can be increased through several types of tasks spread across the region. You do not need to complete every task to max his anger, but finishing them after his death will boost your overall infamy.

Blood Cellars

These involve destroying Ambrus’ stored blood supplies and defeating the guards protecting them.

Blood Transports

You must intercept moving blood transports on the road, defeat the guards and stop the shipment.

Draining Dungeons

Free all prisoners held in the dungeons, kill the guards, and you will earn Ambrus’ ire. Some missions may ask you not to free certain prisoners, but freeing any and killing the guards counts.

Leech Collectors

Set in the swamp where leeches are harvested, these tasks require you to defeat the collectors and break their leech barrels.

Prisoner Transports

These are moving prisoner convoys along roads. Locate them, defeat the guards and release the captives to anger Ambrus.

Prisoner Processing Camp

The single processing camp in Briar Sloughs must be cleared of guards and the prisoners freed to complete the activity.

Conclusion

Each category contains multiple quests with specific locations, such as “Seeing Red” near Eerie Knoll Shrine or “Bloody Business” in the Lower Maragir Wealds Shrine. Completing these quests raises his anger meter, and once it is high enough you receive a unique quest that deepens the storyline and provides extra scenes. While you can choose to forgo the quest, taking it is recommended for the additional content and narrative payoff. After Ambrus is dead, finishing the remaining tasks will further increase your overall infamy, giving you a sense of completion beyond the main storyline.
