How To Unlock The Bakir Boss Fight

To trigger the Bakir boss encounter you must disrupt his plans in the southeastern region. Find his operations in Rockfalls, Svartrau City, or The Silts and take actions such as stealing gold shipments, destroying distilleries, or killing his Rebel Hunters. Each deed fills his Anger meter in the court submenu. When the meter reaches maximum, a special quest called “The Lunar Games” unlocks and NPC Farkas will approach you, offering to sneak you into the labyrinth race as a contestant. Accept his help to proceed.

The Lunar Games Quest Walkthrough

Begin the quest during daylight with at least four time segments available. Speak to Farkas, who explains that Bakir wants his family heirloom back and that you must stay anonymous, avoiding the use of vampire powers. Agree to travel with Farkas, which costs one time segment. First, talk to all contestants. Approach the masked man known as The Porcupine; choosing any of the suggested dialogue options prevents him from blocking you. The Cockroach will not help, so instead collect glowing yellow leaves from a nearby bush and poison his alcohol vase, costing another segment. Finally, speak to The Marten and select the appropriate lines, which gains her support and removes her as a threat. With preparation complete, night falls and the competition starts.

Feast With Bakir

During the post‑game feast, choose the following dialogue options to keep Bakir friendly and gain access to his vault: “I’m sorry, but I’m not taking the mask off,” “With pleasure,” “Cheers!”, “To friendship and good fortune,” “I want to die in my sleep at a ripe old age,” “Is that all? Can I get my reward now?” and “I saw no need to cruel.” Selecting these keeps him incognito and opens the vault for the final fight.

Defeat Bakir

Enter the vault and switch to claws. Bakir’s deadly moves include unblockable blood‑wave stomps and a charging kick; dodge left or right when you see the blood swirl or the rush. His claw swipes can be parried, but a missed parry ends with a kick. Keep parrying to create stun windows, and use hit‑and‑run tactics. When his health drops to one‑third, he summons five blood hawks; dodge them laterally. At low health he performs a lethal blood AoE that grapples you; avoid it by staying mobile. If caught, spam healing blood vials to reduce damage. Finally, choose to drain Bakir rather than kill him; this grants Corruption progress, the Shadowstorm ability, and sends you both to Anachora.

Should You Kill Or Drain Bakir

Draining Bakir is recommended because it provides strong gameplay benefits with no story penalties. Killing him yields nothing. After the decision, Farkas will ask you to locate his amulet; search the treasure room for the ring, loot Bakir’s legendary chest piece, and collect sellable items and the Vrakhiric bracers. Give the ring to Farkas to complete the quest.
