September 2026 Xbox Game Pass Update
Xbox has revealed the first batch of new titles for September 2026, and the lineup is modest. Only one exclusive Game Pass Ultimate title arrives in the final weeks of summer, while major releases such as Cyberpunk 2077 depart mid‑month.
The headline addition for early September is Speedrunners 2: King of Speed, a multiplayer 2D platforming racer that follows a well‑reviewed 2016 Steam title. It is the sole new game that will not also appear in the cheaper Game Pass Premium tier, raising questions about value for Ultimate subscribers.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage are notable but older titles. TCG Card Shop Simulator will reach its 1.0 release on September 15, while EA Sports NHL 27 opens an early‑access trial on September 4. Aniimo, a new Pokémon‑style RPG, will receive a free reward pack at launch.
Cyberpunk 2077 is not the only big game leaving on September 15; Dead Cells, Deep Rock Galactic Survivor, Frostpunk 2, Mullet Madjack, and Spiritfarer are also exiting. While August was an exceptional month for the service, subscribers hope the second half of September will be stronger, lest the lineup feel like filler before Gears of War: E‑Day arrives in October.
