Phantom Blade Zero: How to Obtain the Flaming Mane Edge

As you explore the vast world of Phantom Blade Zero, many areas remain inaccessible without specific Phantom Edges. Giant gaps require the Hunter’s Chain Sickle, treetop bags need the Feather Bow, and thorny brambles block paths until you acquire the Flaming Mane.

Finding the Flaming Mane

The Flaming Mane is one of the most rewarding Phantom Edges in Pangzhen. You reach it by progressing through the winding city and confronting the Fire‑breathing Lion Dance Grandmaster, known as Flame.

Beating Flame, Lion Dance Grandmaster

Flame has two phases. In the first, stay close, dodge and parry his attacks while avoiding the fire he spews; the Phantom Edge You Loong’s Deluge lets you apply the Wet status, reducing fire damage. In the second phase he discards his companion and part of his outfit, summoning mini disciples. Use crowd control to eliminate them, then engage in a fire‑ball duel on the pillars to finish the fight and claim the Flaming Mane.

What Is the Flaming Mane?

The Flaming Mane is a versatile Phantom Edge. While its combat utility is limited, it can clear thorn‑blocked zones that you have already encountered, letting you access hidden treasure and continue your adventure.

With the Flaming Mane in hand, the previously sealed areas become reachable, enriching your exploration and making the journey through Phantom Blade Zero smoother.
