Magic: The Gathering 2027 Set Reveals & Release Dates
Six sets will launch in 2027, three set in the game’s native worlds and three under the Universes Beyond banner. The in‑universe releases are Nauctis: The Sunken Realm (Feb 5), Kamigawa: Titanbreach (June 4) and Zhalfir (Oct 1). The three Beyond sets are Marvel: Darkhold Destiny (Apr 9), an unnamed Set Two (Aug 6) and Set Three (Nov 19).
Universes Beyond 2027 Release Dates
Marvel: Darkhold Destiny returns to Marvel with a fresh storyline centered on a new character, aiming to integrate the IP more naturally into Magic. The other two Beyond sets are still unannounced, though rumors point to a Mistborn/Cosmere, Game of Thrones, World of Warcraft and even a Zelda crossover.
Commander Precons in 2027
Wizards has confirmed that each 2027 set will include at least four Commander preconstructed decks, guaranteeing a minimum of 24 new precons across the year. Marvel: Darkhold Destiny is slated for four, while other sets may offer additional decks depending on thematic needs.
