Fortnite Missable Override Trailer Teases Cyberpunk 2077 Return

The announcement of Fortnite‘s latest season has been going explosively viral since it was announced, bringing in countless iconic characters from retro heroes to modern legends alike. Just when we thought that there wasn’t anyone left to include, however, fans have been spotting the return of one of the most iconic sci-fi FPS games of all time with Cyberpunk 2077.

Although this wouldn’t be the first time Cyberpunk 2077 collaborated with Fortnite, the latest reveal hasn’t even been officially announced by Fortnite’s creators yet, but was spotted by eagle-eyed fans sifting through the trailer for more secrets to uncover. Even though we’ll still have to wait for all the details to be fully revealed closer to Override’s release on August 20, Cyberpunk’s next collaboration is shaping up to be even more exciting than the first.

Cyberpunk 2077 Fans Have Spotted Clear Inclusions In Override

Shortly after the Fortnite season trailer went live, fans like HYPEX on X were quick to share that during the scene in which its characters are transported to a digital game world, there is a brief glimpse at a billboard for Cyberpunk 2077 right behind Jonesy.

Considering that several other billboards were seemingly tied to new game modes or maps, there has already been plenty of speculation that the inclusion is more than just a simple nod to the past collaboration, but could be teasing an even bigger inclusion than just more skins coming to the battle royale game.

Adding even more fuel to the fire is that not long after the announcement, the same user also shared another player’s discovery that halfway through the trailer, a player can be seen using two weapons pulled directly out of Cyberpunk 2077 itself, those being the Arasaka HJSH-18 Masamune and TKI-20 Shingen SMGs.

Hopefully you aren’t getting tired of Cyberpunk reveals just yet, because the last inclusion pointing towards 2077 being a major part of the new season comes at the very end of the Override trailer, where Adam Smasher can be seen as one of the villains teaming up with Geno, being the cherry on top of Cyberpunk 2077’s official return to Fortnite.

Considering that Cyberpunk fans have been begging for another Fortnite return to add more weapons, gadgets, or legends like Male V into the game, the latest collaboration is already piquing the interest of players for the potential of its expanded scope. While we’re already happy enough to be getting characters like Sora after months of leaks and teases, Fortnite‘s latest season has the chance to be one of the most memorable yet in its 9-year run.
