Legend of Zelda Nintendo Switch 2 Returns to Shelves
The Legend of Zelda Nintendo Switch 2 has suddenly reappeared on store shelves after Smyths Toys released a fresh batch this morning. This highly anticipated console is one of the biggest releases of the year, and its original pre‑order vanished within moments. If you’re still hunting for a special edition, now is the time to act.
Where to Find the 40th Anniversary Edition
The special edition handheld costs £429.99 on Smyths Toys, about £10 more than the standard model, and includes distinctive green Joy‑Con details and a gold base. The 40th Anniversary Edition will officially launch on November 5, the same day as the Ocarina of Time remake, which we recently previewed. While the United States has seen less activity, Walmart is offering the 40th Anniversary Legend of Zelda Switch 2 Carrying Case for $39. Smyths Toys currently shows an active “pre‑order now” button for the Zelda Switch 2, but stock is expected to be limited and shipments will begin on the November 5 release date.
Additional Items and Upcoming Releases
The original pre‑orders opened on September 9 and sold out instantly, leaving many fans disappointed. Nintendo is also planning to release the Legend of Zelda Pro 2 controllers and a matching carrying case, both of which have been hard to find since the first pre‑order wave. Retailers sometimes re‑stock items on the day of launch, especially when early orders fall through or payouts are delayed. Keeping an eye on your preferred stores can pay off, as last‑minute returns may bring the console back for a final time.
Black Friday and Accessory Highlights
In addition, Black Friday promotions are shaping up to bring discounts on the Switch 2 and its accessories, including the best‑selling controllers.
