Nintendo Cancels Kirby Air Riders Halloween Event
Nintendo has announced the cancellation of this year’s Halloween event for Kirby Air Riders because performance problems could not be quickly fixed, Nintendo Life spotted. The 10‑month‑old racer was set to receive ghost hats and other fall decorations, but the update caused the game to freeze repeatedly, making it unplayable on the Switch 2.
The issue was reported after the Halloween update launched on October 28, with players noting frequent freezes that disrupted racing. As a result, Nintendo’s Japanese X account posted an immediate pull‑out notice. The post, translated, said the “Trick or Treat!” event might temporarily freeze the screen, leading to the decision to cancel it.
