Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer Gets a Major Overhaul
When Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer was left out of the Legendary Edition, fans were vocal in their disappointment. The ME3Tweaks modding team has now spent three years developing a solution that not only restores the multiplayer mode but also enhances it.
“It’s not just a ME3MP port but rather an extensive remaster of the experience,” says modder Audemus. “This includes new features like native controller support and HDR from the Legendary Edition, an overhauled UI, rebaked level lighting, upscaled and redrawn textures, upgraded shaders, improved networking and server replication, extensive bug fixes, new gameplay modes, and a stable format for future mod support and easy installation.”
Among the new modes is ‘Unified’, which blends enemies from multiple factions, and players can choose to join the ME3Tweaks server or host their own private servers.
The same team previously revived the lost Pinnacle Station DLC for the original Mass Effect, and they plan to release the multiplayer mod on N7 Day, coinciding with composer Sam Hulick’s re‑scored version of the leaked Mass Effect Universe trailer.
