All Items And Their Uses
Halloween: The Game rewards players who notice the little things around Haddonfield. Scattered throughout the map are objects that can aid survival, unlock doors, or give an edge against Michael Myers. Understanding each item’s purpose makes navigating the horror much easier.
Consumable items such as Beer lower your fear level but temporarily distort vision and controls, so use them in safe spots. Joints let you see through Michael’s eyes and reveal survivor and noise pings, improving map awareness. Health Spray restores health quickly for you or teammates, while the larger Health Kit provides three full heals that require you to stay still.
Defensive tools include the Amulet, which automatically blocks grabs like a pocketknife, and the Lantern, which highlights Michael’s location and can be thrown. The Hourglass can stun or slow Michael when thrown and also marks nearby escape items when kept in inventory.
Keys and tools help you progress: Fuse opens gates, Boltcutters cut locks and chests, Repair Kit fixes cars, power boxes, radios and phones, and the Wrench works on machinery. Padlock Key and Gate Key open respective containers and gates, while Cellar Key grants access to the cellar. Sedan Key, Police Car Keys and Gas Can enable vehicle escapes, with the police car keys dropping after Michael kills a cop.
Distraction items such as Baseball, Brick, Pop, Firecracker and Road Flare can draw attention or stun Michael, giving you a chance to flee. Throwable weapons like Lawn Dart, Butterfly Knife, Icepick, Kitchen Knife, Pitchfork, Pickaxe, Cleaver, Axe, Hatchet and Baseball Bat let you attack at range or in close combat. Firearms such as Revolver, Shotgun and Hunting Rifle provide ranged options, with the shotgun being especially powerful at short distance.
