How to Unlock Recipes in The Witch’s Bakery
Running La Croissant De Lunne in The Witch’s Bakery lets you discover new recipes that boost your daily earnings. While some recipes are tied directly to the story, many must be sought out, so be sure to talk to every character and visit shops regularly.
Learning Recipes
Most new recipes are obtained by purchasing cookbooks from Hassan. Unlike regular books, you don’t need to read them; buying a book instantly adds the recipe to your list, which you can practice in the Atelier that evening. Hassan’s inventory expands over time, so I recommend checking his shop at least once a week to catch any new titles.
Special Unlocks
Pastries become available only after you finish Estelle’s Palace. Even though you won’t serve them yourself, you must still learn their recipes in the Atelier, just like any other product.
All Bread, Viennoiserie, And Pastry Recipes
Baguette, Pain au Chocolat/Chocolatine, Croissant – starting Bread and Viennoiserie recipes.
Braided Brioche – becomes available around day 4/10 when Orio asks you to practice it in the Atelier; it appears in the shop the next day.
Chausson Aux Pommes – unlock by speaking daily with Mrs. Tessier; she asks about the pastry early in the game.
Chocolate Fondant – you make it with Estelle in her apartment, but it only appears in the bakery after you start selling pastries at the end of Estelle’s chapter.
Raisin Bread – purchase the “Grapes of Alsace” book from Hassan when you first meet him with Estelle.
Country Bread and Multigrain Bread – buy the “Breads From Our Countryside” and “The Power of Grains” books from Hassan.
Palmier – visit Best’s Atelier on Rue des Barres after he becomes visible outside his bakery.
Flan – buy the “Parisian Flan” book from Hassan.
Fraisier – wait for Orin to request a wedding cake with Estelle; the recipe unlocks after delivering the cake.
Canele – read “Jewels of Bordeaux.”
Mille‑Feuille – read “A Thousand Layers.”
Macaron – unlocked during Chapter 5.
By regularly checking Hassan’s shop, completing the required quests, and practicing recipes in the Atelier, you’ll collect every recipe and earn the achievement for mastering all of them.
