Death Stranding may not have been the financial hit PlayStation expected, but Hideo Kojima’s critically praised delivery series continues to attract fans. After the PC release of the sequel ended Sony’s exclusivity, rumors of a new Death Stranding project have already surfaced.
Another Death Stranding Project Is On The Way
Fans on the Death Stranding subreddit noticed that Kojima Productions filed a trademark for “Death Stranding Odradek.” The filing has sparked speculation that the next entry could be an ARG developed with Niantic, a partnership Kojima announced last September. While a Niantic‑styled alternate reality game seems the most plausible, some also wonder if the title refers to the live‑action Death Stranding movie announced in April of last year.
There’s No Telling What Kojima Has In Store For Fans
With Xbox now owning Kojima Productions, the next project could be something entirely new—a fresh game, a live‑action TV series, or another spinoff that expands the series in unexpected ways. Whatever form it takes, the distinctive world of Death Stranding still offers plenty for fans, though an official reveal may be some time away.
