PlayStation Plus September 2026 Free Games
As the summer winds down and students head back to school, Sony has announced the next batch of free titles for PlayStation Plus subscribers. The selection is strong, featuring last year’s MLB The Show entry and two standout indie games.
On August 28, PlayStation revealed the September lineup for both PS5 and PS4, which will be added to the libraries of all PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium members starting September 1. The games remain available forever as long as you keep an active subscription. The titles and their platforms are:
- Sniper Elite: Resistance – PS5, PS4
- MLB The Show 26 – PS5
- Chained Echoes – PS5, PS4
- Wobbly Life – PS5
These free games are only claimable until October 5; after that a new set of unannounced titles will replace them.
Highlights
Chained Echoes is a standout for fans of retro pixel‑art RPGs. The turn‑based combat offers a fresh twist, the world is expansive, and the visuals are gorgeous. You play as mercenaries trying to stop a crystal‑powered conspiracy that could spark war between kingdoms. While occasional grinding and pacing issues exist, it remains one of the best SNES‑style RPGs available today.
Wobbly Life provides a chaotic, physics‑driven sandbox for online multiplayer fun. Players take on jobs, mini‑games, and whimsical story missions in a goofy, kid‑friendly world. Respec’s Tom Orry likened it to “GTA for kids,” noting its quality and the freedom it gives children to imagine their own activities, making it a solid alternative to more mainstream platforms like Roblox.
Don’t forget that June’s freebies — Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition, Big Walk, and Signalis — are still claimable until August 31. Grab them now to keep your library full.
