Fantastic Pricing on Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth for Switch 2
Square Enix has lowered the digital prices for the Switch 2 versions of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, making each title just $8. The discount is temporary, running until November 17, and represents a steep drop from the usual $40 for Remake and $50 for Rebirth.
Both games are sold as physical key cards, so there’s no loss of content compared to other platforms. For owners of a Switch 2 who haven’t yet experienced these titles, the offer is hard to beat, especially as the series will conclude with Final Fantasy VII Revelation arriving in April 2027.
The ports run at a stable 30 fps on the newer hardware, preserving most of the original visual fidelity without resorting to severe resolution cuts. While Cloud’s iconic spiky hair looks best on the more powerful consoles, the performance on Switch 2 is still respectable.
If you already own the series on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, or PC, there’s little reason to purchase the Switch 2 versions for the sake of portability, as there is no cross‑save functionality like that of Cyberpunk 2077. Nonetheless, for players limited to the Switch 2, these discounted editions are an easy and likely permanent bargain.
