Best PC Settings To Use
Before diving into the grim world of Mortal Shell 2, tweaking a few settings can make the experience smoother and more enjoyable.
Display Settings
Set the game to Fullscreen mode to give it priority access to your display and improve performance. Use your monitor’s native resolution to keep the image sharp and avoid unnecessary scaling. Choose a Render Resolution that balances visual quality with GPU headroom; for many systems, a performance‑oriented setting works well. If you have an NVIDIA GPU, enable DLSS as the upscaler; it boosts frame rates while preserving image clarity. Turn Vertical Sync off to reduce input latency, unless you notice screen tearing, in which case enable it. Turn Frame Generation on if your hardware supports it, as it can dramatically increase perceived frame rates. Set Scalability to High for a good balance between looks and performance. Disable Hardware Ray Tracing to free up resources for a steadier frame rate. Keep Global Illumination at High, as it adds lighting depth without a heavy cost. Use Medium shadows to retain detail while avoiding the performance hit of higher settings. Set Anti‑Aliasing to High to smooth jagged edges. Keep View Distance and Textures at High for richer environments and detail, provided you have enough VRAM. Visual Effects and Reflections can stay at High and Medium respectively for a polished look. Post Processing at Medium preserves effects without taxing the GPU. Environment at High enhances immersion. Enable Seamless Dungeons Loading to smooth transitions. Set Brightness and Gamma to the default values of 1 to maintain the intended contrast. Sharpness at 0.1 adds subtle clarity without over‑sharpening. Keep Bloom on for a soft glow, while turning off Chromatic Aberration and Film Grain for a crisper image. Lens Flares can stay on for extra flair, Motion Blur should be off for clearer combat, and Vignette on to complement the cinematic atmosphere.
Game Settings
Choose English as the language; it has no performance impact. Enable Auto Lock‑On and the Off‑Screen Enemy Indicator to stay focused on threats. Set Damage Numbers to Classic for clear feedback. Keep Target Steering at Default and Disable Free Aim to make targeting more predictable. Use Hold for both Aiming and Blocking Input Styles to gain direct control and deliberate blocking. Turn Auto Pick Up Gold on to save time collecting loot. Disable Gameplay Telemetry if you prefer not to send data. Set Camera Style to Immersive for a cinematic view while exploring. Enable Auto Align Camera to keep the view behind your character automatically. Adjust Overall Camera Shake Strength to 0.5 and Sprint Camera Shake Strength to 0.4 for impactful yet comfortable motion.
