Star Wars Zero Company: Patches and Performance

The biggest obstacle keeping me from playing Star Wars Zero Company in its iron‑man “beskar” mode is fear, but the second hurdle has been the game’s shaky launch. It has crashed several times, and the worry that a mid‑save crash could wipe out my only run makes me keep iron‑man off, even though the game is easier than XCOM and losing seems unlikely.

Fortunately, version 1.1 is now live, and the first note reads “Fixed various crash issues.” It also addresses the temporary deletion of Beskar saves and a crash specific to Beskar mode.

Another fix resolves a bug where shots were registered as misses despite a 100% hit chance. I often saw point‑blank shots whiff because the game rounded percentages, so landing those attacks will feel much more reliable.

Overwatch still fails to trigger when enemies move through multiple targeting cones, a problem that hasn’t been fixed yet. Meanwhile, Bit Reactor, the studio behind Zero Company, has reportedly furloughed most of its staff shortly before launch, leaving only a skeleton crew to handle patches. This explains the two‑week delay on fundamental fixes, and I hope some of those staff return to accelerate future updates.

1.1 patch is here
reportedly furloughed most of its staff shortly before launch, and has been operating with a skeleton crew since then. Which explains why it’s taken two weeks for some fairly fundamental issues to be addressed. Here’s hoping some of those staff can get brought back on to help speed up the rate patches come out.
