TeamGroup’s CEO Chen Ching warns that the current DRAM shortage may worsen before it improves. He says the worst of the supply crisis will likely occur between now and mid‑2025, and that by 2027 prices could stop falling and may even rise. “Right now you can still buy goods, they’re just expensive,” Chen said in the company’s earnings call, where it reported a record quarterly revenue of NT$10.139 billion, about a 34 % increase from the previous quarter. He added that two‑thirds of TeamGroup’s sales are now to business customers, up from a quarter, while the consumer market share has declined. Chen believes his strong supplier relationships will let the company keep sourcing inventory, even at higher spot prices, but he cautioned that supply will remain the biggest challenge. He expects a balanced supply‑demand situation only in the second half of 2028, or possibly later, meaning prices are likely to stay high or climb further. “How can prices fall when there is nothing left?” he asked, underscoring the grim outlook for memory markets.
