Gaming News Dark Souls 2 dataminer unveils massive prototype coliseum level Last updated: October 19, 2026 8:12 am By Gamers Illustrated 12 Min Read Share SHARE We need to rewrite as short natural article under 500 words, using only real article content. Must keep , , and tags exactly as they are, same position. Use

for headings and

for paragraphs. Finish article completely. Output only HTML.

We need to locate the tags to preserve. In content we have:

–
–

At a glance

–

with list items (li). Those are not

or

. The rules: Use

for headings and

for paragraphs. But we have existing

. Should we replace with

? The rule says “Use

for headings”. Probably we need to convert any headings to

. The existing

is a heading; we need to change to

. Also the tags need to stay exactly as they are, same position. That includes . That’s a self-closing anchor tag. Must keep exactly. Also <a class="watch-on-youtube-ddGfJdAof7s"...> and and and . Keep them.

We also have FromSoftware’s most Ambitious map was cut from Dark Souls II – YouTube and . These are not but they are present. The rule says keep , , and tags exactly as they are. So we must keep and unchanged. The is not required to be kept; we can remove or rewrite? The rule says ignore junk text like “You may like”, “class_Picture”, ads, or share buttons — use only real article content. The is probably considered junk (class). It likely is a title but maybe considered junk? It’s not an , , or . It’s a . Probably we can drop it because it’s not part of article content? But we need to keep , , and tags exactly as they are. The is not required to be kept, but we must not modify it if we keep it. Safer to remove it because it’s not a required tag. However we must keep the tag exactly. So we keep the tag.

We need to produce article under 500 words, using only real article content. So we need to rewrite the paragraphs into natural article, using

tags. Also need to use

for headings. We have one heading “At a glance”. Should become

. Maybe also need a title? Not given. We’ll just have one

heading.

We need to incorporate the content from list items into paragraphs. The list items describe prototype, interconnected area, Undead Crypt, Doneda uses Nightreign, files contain coliseum zone, mines, tower, crypt. We’ll incorporate these into paragraphs.

We need to preserve the tags exactly. The is a self-closing anchor; we must keep it. It likely is a link placeholder. We’ll keep it as is, maybe at start? But need to preserve position. In original, it’s before the

. So we need to place it before the heading? The rule: “Keep , , and tags exactly as they are, in the same position.” So we must keep that tag exactly where it appears originally. In the content, it’s first line: . Then

. So we must keep that tag at the same position relative to other content. That means we need to place it before the heading. But we also need to output only HTML with

for headings and

for paragraphs. The tag is not a heading or paragraph; it’s an anchor. We need to keep it exactly. So we will output:

At a glance

… list items …

But the list items are

with tags inside. Those are not
or

. The rule says use

for paragraphs. But list items are not paragraphs; maybe we need to convert list items into paragraphs? However we must keep the tags exactly as they are, including the inside list items. The list items themselves are not required to be paragraphs; but we need to keep them as part of article content. However the rule says “Use

for headings and

for paragraphs.” It doesn’t forbid other tags like

and

. But we need to keep the tags exactly. The list items contain tags; we can keep them as they are inside
. That’s fine.
But maybe we need to avoid list tags because they are not

. However the rule didn’t forbid other tags, just said use

for headings and

for paragraphs. It didn’t say we cannot have

. But to be safe, maybe we convert list items into paragraphs, but we must keep the tags exactly. The tags inside list items are part of list items; we could keep the list structure, but that introduces

and

which are not prohibited. The rule only says use

for headings and

for paragraphs; it doesn’t say we can’t have other tags. So we can keep the

as is.

But we must ensure we keep the tags exactly as they appear. The list items have tags with href etc. Those are part of the content; we need to keep them exactly. So we will keep the

with its

items.
Now we need to rewrite article content as natural article under 500 words, using

for paragraphs. We need to incorporate the content from list items, the paragraphs after, etc.

Let’s extract the relevant content:

– The tag at top: (keep as is).

–

At a glance

=> we need

At a glance

.

– List items:

1. The rough prototype looks to have been binned early in development, and it’s largely avoided discussion before Doneda’s work.

2. Some portions appear to have been part of an interconnected area, others are likely different versions of the same concept.

3. It may have been related to what became the Undead Crypt in the final game.

4. Doneda uses Elden Ring Nightreign to load in and explore what remains of the levels.

5. The files contain a coliseum zone, mines, a strange underground tower (potentially a sequence of arenas, like Nightreign’s DLC?), and a crypt portion.

We need to turn these into natural prose. Maybe combine into a paragraph.

Next, there is a (junk) we can ignore.

Then <img ...> (keep as is). Keep exactly.

Then <a class="watch-on-youtube-ddGfJdAof7s"...>Watch On (keep exactly). That’s an anchor tag.

Then

<a ...>Doneda, the dataminer …, the dataminer who showed off the unused levels, has been proving a genuine authority on Dark Souls 2 in particular. Previously, they made a Nightreign-compatible version of Dark Souls 2’s Eleum Loyce. Doneda has also shown off a tantalizingly ambitious early version of Dark Souls 2’s The Gutter.

We need to keep that tag exactly, and the surrounding paragraph content. The tag includes a link to Doneda’s YouTube channel. We need to keep that anchor tag exactly, and the rest of the paragraph after it (the text). But the rule says “Use

for paragraphs.” So we need to wrap the content in

. However the tag is inside the

. The anchor tag must be kept exactly. So we need to embed the anchor tag within the paragraph, preserving its attributes. The paragraph content after the anchor should be included.

But the anchor tag includes a href to “https://www.youtube.com/@doneda.” That’s a link. We need to keep it exactly as is. So we will have:

Doneda, the dataminer who showed off the unused levels, has been proving a genuine authority on Dark Souls 2 in particular. Previously, they made a Nightreign-compatible version of Dark Souls 2’s Eleum Loyce. Doneda has also shown off a tantalizingly ambitious early version of Dark Souls 2’s The Gutter.

But we need to keep the tag inside that paragraph. The original

includes the tag at start: Doneda, the dataminer … So we need to keep that tag exactly, and then the rest of the paragraph after it. So we need to produce:

Doneda, the dataminer who showed off the unused levels, has been proving a genuine authority on Dark Souls 2 in particular. Previously, they made a Nightreign-compatible version of Dark Souls 2’s Eleum Loyce. Doneda has also shown off a tantalizingly ambitious early version of Dark Souls 2’s The Gutter.

We must keep the tag exactly, including all attributes.

Next paragraph: “In hindsight, the entire pre-Sekiro Souls series (perhaps sans-Bloodborne) seems defined by difficult, rushed development cycles. Hidetaka Miyazaki took over Demon’s Souls partway through as development foundered, and the final game was missing an entire archstone world. Dark Souls has its rougher, less beloved back half, particularly Lost Izalith. Dark Souls 3, though far more consistent than the prior games, had a striking world state system completely struck from it at some point.”

We need to keep that as a paragraph.

Next: ““. That’s an anchor tag, keep exactly.

Next paragraph: “Even among that field, Dark Souls 2 had it rough: Wunderkind Miyazaki was completely focused on Bloodborne, DS2 attempted a divisive new combat feel/hit detection system unlike anything FromSoft made before or since, while early trailers and cut content point to significant story rewrites. That’s before you get to the backlash over a significantly downgraded lighting system in the final game versus its early trailers—I never minded that much, but people were big mad about it back in 2014.”

We need to keep that as paragraph.

Next: ““. Keep.

Next: ““. Keep.

Now we need to ensure we have

heading. The original had

At a glance

. We’ll replace with

At a glance

. Also need to ensure we have

for any other headings; there aren’t any other headings besides maybe the title? Not given. So just that.

Now we need to
