Sidearms in Mortal Shell 2 give you an extra weapon option beyond your main armament, adding range and damage to your fights. They are scattered throughout the game, hidden in dungeons or behind doors that require exploration.
All Sidearms and Where to Find Them
This guide lists every sidearm, what each does, and where to find it.
Naylshotte is a cursed ranged weapon that fires projectiles from a distance and is automatically obtained at the start of the game during the Prologue.
The Forgotten Crossbow is a distance‑firing crossbow. Find it by heading northwest from the Blackridge Pass Beacon, using an arc to open the Flooded Village dungeon door, taking the second elevator down, entering the underground village, retrieving the Damp Key from a box near a back‑left house, using the key to open the central building, and taking the Forgotten Crossbow from a table inside.
The Salvaged Trebuchaxe launches axes at enemies. Travel south from the Gloomshade Grove Beacon to the Ravaged Hideout dungeon, defeat the Bloodcursed Lithopod, proceed to the final room, and pick up the weapon from a body.
Troubadour’s Lute is a lute‑shaped weapon used for attacks. Go southeast from the One Legged Wolf Beacon, enter the One Legged Wolf Tavern, locate the stage, and pick up the weapon to the left of the lute player.
Triarch Repeater fires multiple projectiles rapidly. From the Castigator’s Keep Beacon, go to the lower level, head north to Blackwell Cavern near the cliff, continue through the dungeon to the first lit area, and take the weapon from the ground.
Ballistazooka is a heavy ranged weapon that fires powerful projectiles. From the Gate of Mammon Beacon, head northwest up the stairs, follow the building clockwise to the Sentry’s Grave dungeon entrance, reach the end, defeat the Subjugated Guardian, and the Ballistazooka is obtained automatically.
Cursed Child uses a cursed child to attack. From the Sester’s Gate Beacon, go northwest to the Revered Beacon dungeon, avoid the golden light from the central tower, circle around, attack the central pillar to disable the light, then collect the Cursed Child.
Caged Hystrix contains a creature for attacking. From The Silent Steps Beacon, go southeast to the platform where you fight Sariel, the Endless. Defeat him to open the path to the Chamber of Becoming dungeon, defeat him again inside, destroy all four tombstones to prevent revival, then climb the back stairs to find the Caged Hystrix near the exit.
With these sidearms in hand, you’ll be better equipped to tackle the challenges of Mortal Shell 2.
