Pokoponia 2.0 Update Expands Gameplay and Fixes Long‑Standing Annoyances

The latest free 2.0 update for Pokémon Pokoponia arrives alongside the Bubbly Basin expansion, adding new Pokémon, habitats, and a host of quality‑of‑life changes. While the $35 expansion pass offers extra content, the update itself is available to all players and introduces features such as the Dive ability, which lets you explore underwater and build homes beneath the surface.

One of the most notorious quirks was how Pokémon reacted when a single tile was moved, causing them to treat the habitat as destroyed and become upset. The 2.0 patch makes Pokémon far more tolerant; they will return to a rebuilt habitat as long as the same components are recreated, and they notice when missing furniture is replaced more quickly.

New features include the Dive move, underwater building with the Build specialty, a portal pod and safe item, the dynamic Ditto print pattern, and several new emotes like Lie Down and Ready, Set, Go!. Players can now change hair color in five new shades, move items in bulk between storage and bag, delete objects inside containers, fine‑tune depth placement for windows and doors, and adjust settings to hide confirmation messages or allow movement while the move wheel is open. Motion‑sickness reduction options for the camera are also included.

Quality‑of‑life improvements are extensive: habitats can be restored without re‑inviting Pokémon, sad Pokémon notice replaced furniture faster, emotes are mirrored by Pokémon, and the Return Home function now lets you travel to a Pokémon’s town directly from the Pokédex. Conversation indicators are clearer, lost relics can be appraised in batches, multiple actions can be performed in a single interaction, and crafting now consumes materials from the nearby storage box first. Additional tweaks raise power generator limits, increase photo slots, enhance liquid handling, let Pokémon follow you while surfing or rolling, and expand the All tab in the Pokédex and Habitat Dex.

Many bugs have been fixed, including issues where Pokémon failed to travel across water, fell into oceans, or ignored honey cues, as well as problems with Magnet Rise, Dream Island loading, and various visual glitches. Performance has been improved, and the overall experience is smoother and more stable.
