August 2026 Xbox Game Pass Adds New Titles
Microsoft has announced the second wave of Xbox Game Pass additions for August 2026, bringing four fresh titles to the Ultimate tier for the first time. The headline is Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, an action‑focused spin on the popular stealth series that introduces a parry mechanic and finishing moves, while Blood Dungeon, a roguelike reinterpretation of Pac‑Man created by Nidhogg artist Mark Essen, joins the roster as well.
The full list of games entering Game Pass in wave 2 includes Egging On on August 18, Vapor World: Over the Mind and BlazBlue Entropy Effect X on August 19, Relooted and Starsand Island on August 19 and August 20 respectively, Aerial_Knight’s DropShot and Blood Dungeon on August 25, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy on August 27, Young Suns on August 31, and Shelldiver on September 1. Most of these titles arrive with Game Pass Premium or Game Pass Ultimate, expanding the library for cloud, console, handheld and PC players.
While the latter half of August is lighter on new releases, the influx of premium‑tier games means more options for subscribers. Earlier in the month, a surprise shadow‑drop of Wolfenstein 3D gave fans an unexpected classic to enjoy.
On the departure side, The Witcher 3 will leave Game Pass on August 31, giving players just under two weeks to finish Ciri’s quest and take on the Wild Hunt. Fans are advised to purchase the game during its upcoming sale for a fraction of the regular price.
