The Duskbloods’ Ridiculous Playable Characters

Previews of The Duskbloods dropped today, showing six of the ten characters set to appear at launch. They look like total idiots, which makes them oddly entertaining.

Just ridiculous doofuses all around:

Look at these clowns! My God! First you’ve got Albert, the most normie‑ass vampire I’ve ever seen. Then there’s Bloodhand Jan, who apparently chose to wear pajamas to the blood ritual. Trang Lanh stands out as the only cool one, giving the group a touch of sanity. Sniper Layla looks like she was ripped from Fallout, missing half her head but still trying to appear edgy. The line‑up also includes a senator, a baffling “Zork” character, and several other oddballs that make you wonder if the game’s world actually has a government.

FromSoftware has a long history of creating wildly eccentric characters — giant jars of human guts, a turtle pope, Pickle Pee, and even a lady licking walls in Nightreign. The Duskbloods seems to push the absurdity even further.

I’m excited for the upcoming network test this weekend and can’t wait to try out all six maniacs. This game is going to rule.
