JBL Announces New Quantum Gaming Headsets at Gamescom
The UK‑based audio brand JBL unveiled its latest Quantum headset lineup at Gamescom, led by the premium Quantum 850. Priced at £249.99, the headphones are slated for release on October 1 and feature Hi‑Res certified 50 mm carbon‑dynamic drivers, JBL’s spatial sound and head‑tracking tech, and the QuantumENGINE software that was refreshed at last year’s event. When combined, these technologies create a three‑dimensional soundstage that helps pinpoint in‑game noises, a useful advantage for first‑person shooter fans. The Quantum 850 also offers a modular design: you can swap the microphone, USB‑C cable, ear cushions, earcups, hammock and battery as needed. It supports adaptive noise cancellation and dual wireless connections via Bluetooth 5.2 and low‑latency 2.4 GHz, plus optional USB‑C or 3.5 mm wired mode.(Image credit: JBL)

For gamers who want a more affordable option, the Quantum 650 is available for £99.99 and includes many of the same features, such as the 50 mm drivers and dual wireless support.
